The Sixth Annual Chili Open and Golf Tournament
On Saturday, March 9, 2013
Flathead County Animal Shelter, the Flathead Spay and Neuter Task Force, and the Humane Society of Northwest Montana
For the sixth year in a row, the most celebrated winter golf tournament in Montana will take place on church grounds Saturday Morning, March 9th at All Saints’ Episcopal Church located in Columbia Falls. Join us on the six acre course for this wonderful snow golf event that raises much needed funds for the Flathead County Animal Shelter, the Flathead Spay and Neuter Task Force, and the Humane Society of Northwest Montana.
“Green Fees” which include golf, lunch and a Pro Tour Golf Cap from Callaway are $15 per person with the entirety of what is raised being donated to help the most vulnerable of God’s creation, dogs and cats who are homeless and abused. Again this year, holes in one can be purchased for $50 each.
Prior to the first tee off time of the morning, coffee cake and coffee will be provided by Friends of the Shelter. The first tee-off time of the day is 10 a.m. followed by a catered lunch at 12 noon and an afternoon tee-off time at 2 p.m. This year the number of golfers is being expanded to 36 golfers in the morning and 36 golfers in the afternoon. Lunch which is included in the green fee is being provided by Famous Dave’s Restaurant in Kalispell, Loula’s Restaurant in Whitefish and the Tupelo Grille and Haskill Station in Whitefish.
This is an extraordinarily fun event and it does much to help homeless animals that are in need of medical care, shelter and companionship. A silent auction will be conducted during lunch and will include items from Famous Dave’s Restaurant, Buffalo Hills Golf Course, Meadow Lake Golf Course, the Flathead Spay and Neuter Task Force, the Wave in Whitefish, the Humane Society of Northwest Montana, Lucky Dog Day Camp in Kalispell, Dog Gone Clean in Kalispell, and Pro Tour Golf items from Callaway Golf on behalf of David Graham, winner of the 1979 PGA Championship and the 1981 U.S. Open.
Reservations can be made by calling the Humane Society of Northwest Montana at 406-752-7297, Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. or by emailing email@example.com.
