The Humane Society of Northwest Montana is hosting its monthly volunteer orientation at their adoption center on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 11 a.m. The one-hour introductory session is free to the public and registration is not required. If you would like to learn how you can help orphaned cats or dogs, make plans to attend. The Humane Society is home to the Charlotte Edkins Animal Adoption Center located at 100 Adopt A Pet Way, off Hwy 93 between Kalispell and Whitefish.
To participate in the Humane Society’s volunteer program, volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Volunteers are needed to assist with animal care & exercise, community education, reception area/client relations, fundraising, special events, dog walking, and cat grooming. The Humane Society of Northwest Montana invites the public to “paws” and chart a course to the Boat Club Restaurant in Whitefish on Friday, May 11, 2012.
The Lodge at Whitefish Lake is featuring the annual Celebrity Bartending Event in the Boat Club Restaurant from 5pm to 7pm. During that time, all tips from drinks poured by volunteer celebrity bartender, Dr. Jim Thompson, DVM of Whitefish Animal Hospital will be donated to the Charlotte Edkins Animal Adoption Center.
Whether your drink choice is a carbonated beverage, a tall cold brew, or a fancy cocktail, visit the Boat Club Restaurant on May 11th to cheer on Dr. Thompson and support homeless animals.
