Did you make it to “Doggie Dayz” on Saturday? We converged on Depot Park in downtown Kalispell for a community event sponsored by Costco, and everyone had a great time, especially the dogs.
Pet owners from all over the Flathead brought their furry companions to participate in contests, have fun and socialize with other two and four-legged attendees. Black Gold Espresso was there to provide a wake-up coffee that was worth the trip, and the canine community was well represented. Some of the attendees included:
- Spay and Neuter Task Force
- Central Valley Animal Hospital
- Flathead Pet Emergency
Groomers such as…
- Happy Pooch Professionals
- Dog Gone Clean Salon
- Petspaw Grooming Salon
- and more…
Other exhibitors also were also present, but somehow I misplaced some business cards. If you were there and want to add your name to the list, send us an email and we’ll give you credit.
The pet contests were a lot of fun. We had one dog that could count and other pups did all sorts of tricks to amuse the crowd. The video only tells part of the story, but I think you get the idea. Costco provided free dog bones and sample dog food and provided all the prices for contest winners.
The Humane Society prides itself on being one of the most active animal non-profits in the valley, so events like this are very important to us. We brought Trailer, a Beagle-mix pup with us and he loved the day away from the adoption center.
