Welcome to the Humane Society of Northwest Montana’s official blog! The Humane Society of Northwest Montana is the home of the Charlotte Edkins Animal Adoption Center, and we thank you for taking the time to visit our website and this new blog.
Everything is new!
Although this blog has been on the drawing board for quite some time, we chose to launch it at the same time we unveiled our new website. We really hope that you like these changes and if you have a suggestion, please don’t be shy… email your comments or suggestions.
If this is your first time visiting our home on the web, please feel free to poke around and take your time exploring all that we have to offer. You will appreciate our easier navigation and other features such as being able to search and view a photo of all of the cats and dogs currently in-house.
How you can help..
Although a financial contribution is always welcomed (even more so these days), there are many other ways you can help us accomplish our mission. You can support us by becoming a volunteer, buying a T-shirt or coffee mug and other gifts emblazoned with the Humane Society logo, and if you switch your Internet account to MontanaSky, they will donate $50.00 to our general fund. Learn more about this…
One of the best ways of helping our adoption center is to simply spread the word and encourage your friends and neighbors to visit. If you know anyone looking for a pet, tell them to come by our adoption center or visit this website to browse all of our homeless pets.
Local people helping local pets and businesses
Our adoption center is proud to be a supporter of the BUY LOCAL program, which is a grass roots movement in the Flathead of local business owners to create awareness about the positive effect that buying locally has on our community. Most people are not aware that when they spend their dollars with a local business, those dollars continue to circulate in the local economy. The goal of the BUY LOCAL program is to get people to “Think before you buy”.
