Kalispell, MT – The Humane Society of Northwest Montana, home of the Charlotte Edkins Animal Adoption Center, is pleased to announce that for the first time it has been awarded a generous $1,000 grant from the PEDIGREE Foundation who has awarded 4,740 grants valued at more than $6.1 million in support of organizations that help dogs in need.
According to Lori Heatherington, Executive Director for the Humane Society, “the Humane Society is thrilled to partner with the PEDIGREE Foundation in the pursuit of helping dogs in need find loving homes and will apply this grant award to do just that.”

The Humane Society of Northwest Montana, home of the Charlotte Edkins Animal Adoption Center, is a 501(c)(3) private, non-profit organization that operates a no-kill animal adoption facility located at 100 Adopt A Pet Way in Kalispell.
Its mission is to provide a caring and safe environment for dogs and cats until they can be united with a forever home.
Dependent on community donations for support, the Humane Society does not receive any government funding or funding from any national animal welfare groups. Tax deductible donations from individuals, businesses and charitable foundations provide the support needed to care for orphaned animals as they await adoption.
