The saying goes, “A picture is worth a thousand words”, but it seems we may need to update that phrase to describe a video’s impact on our senses. This video says it all.
Heidi came to the Humane Society last week and her story could make a grown man cry. At only 3 months old, she was suffering from a broken leg and her owner surrendered her…she was abandoned to people she didn’t know, terrified and in severe pain. The video tells the story of the heroic efforts of Humane Society staff and a couple of Flathead Valley’s caring veterinarians and how they saved Heidi’s leg.
Because of these people Heidi has a chance at a real life and finding her forever home. Heidi is healing nicely now, but we have a new problem in that saving Heidi was not an expense we could budget for or afford, but we did the only thing that had to be done. Now we are reaching out to other caring people like you.
How you can help
We are asking for donations to help us cover Heidi’s $1,000+ medical fees. Plus, we’re asking for you to help spread Heidi’s story. Will you please post this story to your Facebook account and Twitter, Google+ and send it to people in your address book?
Please remember that The Humane Society does not receive any of your tax dollars, or financial assistance from the Humane Society of the U.S. We are supported solely from donations from caring people like you. Please donate here!
