At the Humane Society of Northwest Montana, volunteers make a difference in the lives of homeless pets every day. Meet Mike Catarama, professional dog trainer with Big Mountain Dog Training, who donates his time every week to help dogs learn new behaviors and skills that help them get adopted.

Mike demonstrates techniques that show other volunteers how to open a dog kennel door, how to take a dog out of its kennel, how to teach a dog to heel walk on a leash, how to treadmill a dog and how to place a dog back into its kennel. He also points out the importance of sharing information on the volunteer white board and leaves his contact information for other volunteers who may want more training.
